at night like this i feel like tearing. crying my heart out. its not about missing home. its not about being alone in a far away land. the very same context put in another place such as home, i would still have the urge to let my tear drops roll down my pretty pinkish cheeks.
joanna left her com on, playing chinese songs. though half the time i have no idea what the songs are about, i could feel from the way the singers sing them, they are really sad. i mean yea... any idiots would know. something like being apart, loving someone and what not.
some memories came back... some just got stucked.
its not about the past. its never about the past. i've come into terms with it. they were just a phase in life. the young and innocent one. the growing path to take. i hate to say i regret going through it cos i have to agree that without it, i wouldnt mature. let's just say that there's a particular person that i wish i hadnt known. oh well... life does not go according to what i wish or want. that is just life. its unpredictable, its un-re-live-able.
in a way, i cant wait to see the future. i am excited about it. however, along with the anticipation comes fear. fear of choosing the wrong path. fear of not getting what i want. fear of losing what i already have. BUT... happy about writing a new chapter in my life. when? that's another fear. fear of things not happening.
cant emphasize how glad i am to be in the states by myself. this is the time that i wanna be alone. away from everyone. i'm in power to choose who to contact, who not to. i'm in total control of shutting everyone else away from me.
i'm waiting.... just waiting.

Horoscope Reading:
The Bottom Line:
Wait until you feel a true connection before aligning yourself with someone new.
In Detail:
New faces on the social scene hold some new opportunities, but you need to choose your next adventure with a very conservative mindset. Don't just leap at the nicest offer that comes your way. Wait until you feel that intense connection that indicates something special. You need to be careful about whom you align yourself with right now. People are drawn to your friendly energy, and are apt to tell you what they think you want to hear -- instead of the truth.

emotionally strained in some way. i'm going New York this coming Thursday. even though i'm super excited about it as i finally managed to find companies for my niagara trip, i cant help thinking bout the 18th of July. my beloved singapore's richmond gang will be packing their bags and be prepared to start their tour around US. since the russians seem to be so anti-social, i am definitely not looking forward to my new eroupean roommate.
staying in US makes me realise that its difficult not to stereotype people. whether you're black, white, american, eroupean or asian. however, im getting the hang of it. on the brighter side, i am glad to know that i am a singaporean. i miss singapore. i've learnt not to take her for granted even if the tax is 7% now.
its hard to communicate with someone who thinks that they are more superior than you. or maybe im just being over sensitive. whatever it is, im sure that im learning and growing. not just the physical part. i find it much more meaningful to learn how to deal with my emotional self. being away makes me realise the importance of my family. my mom. and im working things out with my dad.
im more independent now. as in emotionally independent. for once i feel like the old me. one who does not need anyone to be around me. im sure fia and moni will be super proud of me. i enjoy every minute that i have now. weirdly, i feel im powerful cos i have total control of my life now. i dont whinge, i get things done my way.
anyhow, my left foot is swollen! this wound that i have is infected. haha. everybody said that my foot looks like a pig leg.
gotta go. late nite.

This is by far my highest record i think. wait till i go New York City. the brand whore shoppoholic will then show you her power of wacking every single outlet store. I went Williamsburg today. the main objective was to visit the prime outlets. but my roomie thought that it would do no justification to our off day if we purely spend it on shopping. hence we decided to visit some places such as Ripley's Believe or Not museum. however, the admission ticket was kinda steep. we figured that we might as well go for the go-cart. which turned out to be quite a disappointment as the track was small and the go-carts were slow. In the end, after our lunch at KFC, some of us went to the Prime Outlet straight away and the rest (i belong to "the rest") went to Williamsburg Winenary. $8 for a tour around the winenary and a taste of 7 different kind of white and red wines was more than we could bargain for. when we were done with the visit, i was kinda tipsy and we went to the prime outlet. which i must say was a mistake. my first wack at COACH was hmmmmm definitely very very very fruitful. i was happily taking all the hobo bags. the sales assistant was so willing to help a tipsy girl to find what she "needs". and i ended up spending close to USD400 in that shop. that's almost 85% of my pay which i got on friday. GREAT JOB JANET!
my USD500 plus worth of shopping stuff. yes.. its Guess and GAP again. and Oakley. a good bargain! USD79 for a nice pair of shades. (my tipsiness almost got me into buying 2 shades!)
all these are tentatively (or most likely to be mine and my mom) clockwise from top left, i bought this exactly the same colour. definitely for myself. no sharing. 2nd one maybe my mom will like... tentatively for her. 3rd one.... actually i bought the white base with brown lining. also for myself but i think my mom will like... so share. i like the second one too... so ill use it too. hahaha.

i'm having pms.
i'm in pain physically because of my cramp.
i'm irritated with the Russians.
i'm annoyed with some Americans.
i'm indifferent with someone.
i'm being sensitive. hopefully over-sensitive.
all in all they upset me a whole lot.
hence i just want my friends' company. i wanna talk to somebody. i wanna cry. i wanna go home. i want home cook food. i want my mom. i want singapore.
btw... if you think Singaporeans are kiasu, wait till you meet the Russians. (i may be generalising... lets just say im referring to those who are staying in Rhoads Hall.)
best joke in Richmond,
a friend of mine is a ride operator. this afternoon, as he was instructing the guests to exit to their right, an american girl turn to her left and kept walking until my friend had to shout at her. however, she did not hear him. she didnt hear her mom shouting at her too. when she finally did so, her mom apologised to my friend, "dont mind her. she's a blonde."
haha.

ive finally booked my ticket to LA. Im foreing my adventure to Miami as it'll cost me at least 500bucks more. so yea... and im going LA on the 6th of september. in the meantime, i'll go new york (definitely) with my richmond gang at the end of June. and probably pop by at philidelphia and new jersey. heard that there aint much there though. museums.
there was a storm this afternoon. so all the rides had to stop which was great for us. i thought we'd go home early. fortunately, we were told to hang around until the sky cleared which it did so after 3 hrs. by then it was close to closing time. therefore work was extremely slack. easy money for the day. not to forget my swollen feet need to be hidden away from the sun. nobody could be more glad than i was.
Krogger makes me broke. i've got a love hate relationship with krogger. it sells the cheapest grocery, hence the longer i loiter around waiting for people, the more i spent. i remember the first time i was there, joanna and i spent 40bucks EACH! seriously.... god knows what we bought. for now... on average, we'll spend 20. im trying to cut down to 10. and i only spent bout 7 today. hopefully i wont go there anytime soon for this week. i need to stay away from krogger for the time being.
where's our favourite store?

who's our best friend in US?
KROGGER.
on my way back, the road in front of my hall was blocked. looking out of the window, i saw balloons and tons of people crowding around this theatre-like building... actually it is a theatre (what am i talking about...) anyway, it was a big celebration for VCU graduates. they were dressed in white robe unlike NTU's blue. such big celebration. then i felt a pinch of soreness in me. maybe after all, i dont wanna miss my convocation. i mean after knowing that i did well, unexpectedly well, i wanna share the joy with my mom. im 90% sure she wants to be there too. sad.. but there's nothing i can do. i wont regret coming US because i know its gonna be much more fruitful than sitting in a LT full of graduates waiting for their name to be called.
nite ppl.
to those people who know i'll miss you,
I miss you.
